So our girl from DC does it again with a great article about Dom O Briggs from Brooklyn, NY. In this article she talks about how going on Twitter and and seeing everyone RT and mentioning him made her very inquisitive into who he is and also his music. I've heard it myself and its def worth a listen. Check out her article and download the mixtape after the jump.....

So everyone knows I’m a Twitter maniac. I constantly update my status, network, and link my followers here to this site. Anyways, I began noticing a popular trend on my timeline for a couple of days; tweet after tweet was like @domobriggs this and @domobriggs that. I’m thinking to myself this dude has got to be somebody, I have got to follow this guy and check him out. All the talk was about his just released EP, Always Inspire(d), which made it on to blogs like The Source and The Sermon’s Domain not even an hour after Dom released it, on his Tumblr might I add. Being unfamiliar with this Brooklyn cat but also noticing his trend I immediately downloaded the EP learning instantly about his music style. Dom is twenty years old. Is his rhyme scheme/music style like that of other twenty year olds? Not really. And he doesn’t remind me of anyone in particular which I am a big fan of because right off the block (track analogy, get hip) he owns his sound and his style. And his catch is that he is a twenty year old ‘swagged out’ Brooklyn dude with a tight production crew that wants to make really good music. Browsing through his Twitter trying to gain as much information about dude that I can, I “sorta kinda” learned that his impetus for creating music is the power of always learning, growing, evolving, and, like the title of the project, inspiring. Dom lives off of muses, what or who those muses may be I am not quite sure yet but branding himself as the new New York, this kid is definitely on to something. Admittedly, Dom’s music is not recognizable to me but from the looks of it, he has been on the rise, musically speaking, and I am glad I have Twitter to introduce me to new things worthy of being posted on my blog. I encourage you all to visit domobriggs.com to listen and download his Always Inspire(d) EP.
