Diddy Says White Men Can Jump, Participates In All-Star NBA Dunk Contest

Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy raised eyebrows this weekend by getting used as a prop for the Houston Rockets' Chase Budinger in his NBA All-Star Weekend dunk contest challenge.

Playing off the 1992 flick White Men Can't Jump, Budinger's movie-themed dunk heavily relied on Puffy's participation.
Chase Budinger kicked off the Slam Dunk contest with a fantastic reference to Woody Harrleson and White Men Can't Jump, with an obviously staged skit that was made to look spontaneous. TNT analyst Kenny Smith came out with a mic and asked P. Diddy about his son and his new TV channel, before asking about his favorite basketball movie. Diddy answered with the Harrleson classic and Budinger appeared in a white tee and a backwards baseball cap. Budinger, determined to prove to Diddy that white men can, in fact, jump, decided to jump over P. Diddy. The rap mogul was kind enough to throw the ball up to Budinger with a no-look, over the shoulder pass. Budinger jumped over Diddy and threw it down in impressive fashion. (SB Nation)
Following the dunk, the music mogul hopped on Twitter with his post-reaction.
"White men can jump! Lol 10!!!! Lol," he tweeted February 25th. (Diddy's Twitter)
Despite the eye-catching dunk, Budinger ultimately came up short in winning the contest.
Utah Jazz Jeremy Evans won the fan vote as the Slam Dunk champion. This was the first year that fans had total control of voting, a major tweak from past competitions. Evans earned the win over the Houston Rockets' Chase Budinger, Indiana Pacers' Paul George and Minnesota's Derrick Williams. Evans dunked with a camera on his head, dunked two basketballs while jumping over a seated assistant and then donned a Karl Malone jersey while dunking over mailman-dressed comedian Kevin Hart. This year's contest lasted three rounds, but the four participants had only two minutes per round to complete a single dunk. (USA Today)
Last night, Roc Nation rap star J. Cole appeared at the annual celebrity game.
Dwight Howard looked like he didn't have a care in the world Friday night. As he coached in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, he erupted into a belly laugh when 5-foot nothing actor Kevin Hart had a layup attempt stuffed by the underside of the rim. Howard barked out encouragement as rapper J Cole took a long jumper. Howard even drew up a play on a clipboard during a TV timeout. (Boston Herald)
