Pill Makes Sky High NBA Finals Bet, "I'm Willing To Put Up $50K For Anybody Who Want It"

Southern rapper Pill is so confident in his hometown Atlanta Hawks not only making it to the NBA playoffs but to the Finals, he is willing to bet $50,000 on it.

Pill announced his bet last night following a 100-77 Hawks win over the Toronto Raptors.

"N*ggaz ain't seeing them Hawks tho," he tweeted Tuesday (January 31).

"Hawks will be in the NBA finals this year and I'm willing to put up 50k for anybody who want it.." (Pill's Twitter)

Pill is the latest hip-hop artist to publicly announce a bet on professional sports since Cash Money Records CEO Birdman put up a $5 million wager last month.

"I like New ENGLaNd.my nephew play RB# 42.I'm Bet 5million 2 any n*ggaaa.like tha Giants YMCMB.BabyMoney anybody kan Getit.," he tweeted January 23rd. (Birdman's Twitter)

Following the wager, BetOnline.com challenged Birdman to adhere to his bet.

"If Birdman is prepared to put his money where his mouth is, we are prepared to accept his $5 million wager on either the point spread or the money line of Super Bowl XLVI," said Dave Mason, BetOnline brand manager, in a statement. "Birdman simply needs to go to BetOnline and register online. Then, he can email me directly and I will provide him wire instructions in order to get his $5 million in post-up funds sent in a timely manner so we can proceed with the bet. Outside of sports talk, Pill recently clarified his status with Maybach Music Group.

"I never signed any paperwork with Ross. It was just my deal was over at Warner already," Pill revealed to MTV News Tuesday. According to the "Trap Goin' Ham" MC, he was signed to Asylum/Warner Bros. Records at the end of 2009, a year before Ross brought his MMG label over to Warner Music Group. Pill says he is unaware of any conversations that Warner and Ross ever had concerning his career, but started receiving calls from Rozay around this time last year. The calls turned into collaborations -- many of which ended up on Self Made Vol. 1, Ross' MMG label compilation album. It was alluded that Pill was officially a part of Rozay's roster, along with Wale, Meek Mill and a host of other artists, but that wasn't the case, the rapper says. (MTV)
