DMX Ready To Show Off "Undisputed" Status In Rap Game

Former Ruff Ryders leader DMX is gearing up to drop his new Undisputed solo album this March with a little help from Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz and more.

According to reports, X's upcoming LP will have a slight R&B vibe courtesy of singers like Jennifer Hudson and Tyrese.
2012 will be the Year of the Dog. DMX is set to return to music with a new album, due this spring. The Yonkers MC, born Earl Simmons, will release his seventh studio album Undisputed on March 27 via United Music & Media Group. The first single, "Already," will be officially released in the coming weeks. According to a press release, the album will feature appearances from Busta Rhymes, Tyrese, and Jennifer Hudson, with production from Swizz Beatz and Deezle ("Lollipop"). (Rap-Up)
Last week, the rapper made a surprise appearance at a New York concert.
During Funkmaster Flex's Christmas Pary, Earl Simmons or DMX to you and I, surprised the audience with his appearance and the following stage performance. Partygoers at the Santos Party House were in disbelief, as DMX ran through some popular songs off his lengthy catalog. X also spat an acapella verse showing he is still with nice with [the] mic. He also announced new music is on the way in the new year, with a new project titled Undisputed scheduled to drop March 26th. (Soul Culture UK)
West Coast producer Cavie recently told SOHH he is working on new music alongside X.
"I'm very excited about the DMX record and then I would have to say I'm most excited about the Goodie Mob album too as far as the comebacks and who I would like to see get back to where they need to be," Cavie added. "With the success of Cee-Lo now, Goodie Mob will be able to change the way Southern music is going on, all the snapping and popping. I think Goodie Mob is going to bring it back to where it all started at. I'm excited about Goodie and DMX's album. Shout-out to my man X for making me the lead producer on the album. The music speaks for itself. Before going to jail, DMX told me I'm his favorite producer and if I'm not doing the track, he's not even rocking. That made me [feel] honored because this guy is an incredible talent as well as being an incredible person. Very misunderstood but he's a great guy." (SOHH)
Although Cavie may be contributing, renowned producer Dame Grease is reportedly overseeing the entire LP.
Veteran Harlem producer Dame Grease announced this week that he's signed on to executive produce the long awaited new LP from DMX. Grease has a long history with the Yonkers-bred rap star. When X made his mark in 1997, it was Grease who helped craft the rapper's aggressive sound. Before that, however, the producer then followed by working with the likes of The Lox and Mase during the mid-1990s Bad Boy Records era. Then, it led to Grease working as the lead producer on DMX's classic debut, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. (Baller Status)
The new album will mark DMX's latest since 2006's Year of the Dog...Again.
Undisputed is slated to arrive March 27th.
