"We Feel Like We're Four Of The Dopest MCs On The Planet"

Slaughterhouse's Joell Ortiz has stepped forward to confirm reports claiming his group's long-awaited sophomore album title is in fact, welcome to: OUR HOUSE, and broke down its meaning.

Taking pride in the fact he shares a group with lyrical assassins Royce Da 5'9, Joe Budden and Crooked I, Ortiz said the LP title derives from what they bring to the table.

"We feel hip-hop is our house," Joell said in an interview about the title. "We feel like we're four of the dopest MCs on the planet and after this albums comes out, we feel everybody is gonna have to deal with it. You gonna have to deal with the fact that you might be listening to some dudes you can't be better than. That's the attitude we wanna have. When Ray Lewis and the Baltimore defense go out there, they say, 'you ain't scoring. That's it.' Nobody looks at them as cocky or crazy. But they just leave it on the field. We left it on this album. Yesterday, album title and release date details emerged online.

Slaughterhouse announced today the details of the group's new tour as well as confirmed that the title of their forthcoming Shady Records/Interscope album debut will be welcome to: OUR HOUSE. Executive produced by Eminem, welcome to: OUR HOUSE, to be released May 15, 2012, will be the second album from the creative collaboration of Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5'9'. New music will be made available next week for fans to get their first taste of what promises to be one of the most anticipated and explosive albums of the year. (PR Newswire)

In December, group member Joe Budden said fans could expect the LP to drop in April.

"I want to talk about the Slaughterhouse project. It's coming this April, hopefully," Budden said during a "1st & 10" ESPN appearance. "Shout-out to my group, by the way - Royce, Joell, Crooked - signed to Eminem's Shady Records. The album's phenomenal. So I want to tell all the sports fans out there to look out for it." Over the summer, Ortiz detailed his confidence in the project's overall vibe.

"Usually I'm the one that's like, 'We're just working hard and in the studio,' -- I'm just saying, the things we're doing are epic. Our album is going to be incredible," Ortiz said in an interview.
