Kanye West & Jay-Z Fuel Chris Rock/Dave Chappelle Reunion Plans

Comedian Chris Rock has credited the recent pairing of Jay-Z and Kanye West with their platinum-selling Watch the Throne joint album for fueling plans to hook-up with estranged stand-up comic Dave Chappelle.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, Rock hopes he can get Chappelle to join in on a nationwide tour.
Rock briefly talked to us about his upcoming projects, and while he didn't have much to say about his role in the omnibus comedy What To Expect When You're Expecting ("Yeah, that's coming out"), he's pretty excited to go out on tour. "I've been talking to Chappelle a lot. Been trying to get Chappelle to go on tour," he told us. Those reports had surfaced briefly in October, but we'd heard nothing since then; is Rock really going to make this a reality? "You know I'm not the hard one," he said, laughing. "But I'm trying to make that happen. After seeing Kanye and Jay-Z, I was like, 'Me and Dave should do this.'" (New York Mag)
Around late October, rumors of a Rock and Chappelle road trip spread online.
Today our sources dropped a bomb on us; we heard that comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are both on stage in New York working out at an undisclosed comedy club, and they heard that they have had discussions about doing a comedy show together! Word is if they make those plans a reality and things go well for that comedy show, they may even do a tour! (Humor Mill Mag)
Following Watch the Throne's August release, Jay gave his opinion on other artists following their blueprint.
"Anything that has success is gonna be emulated," Jay added. "That's the reason why we went down this road. We we down this road to make a great album but also to make a statement for this culture." (99 Jamz)
The same month, Chappelle admitted he was rocking out to Watch the Throne.
"I just downloaded it yesterday," Chappelle said when asked for his opinion on Watch the Throne. "I haven't listened to the whole record. Real talk. Actually, I did see Kanye at Coachella [music festival]. Which was great...He ripped it, it was a good show...Nicki Minaj? Yeah, she's a good looking girl. You keep asking me about all these girls. Nicki Minaj is a good looking girl." (Wild 94.9)
Since "Chappelle's Show" ended in the mid-2000's, the elusive comedian has swayed away from the mainstream spotlight.
