Grammy-winning singer Rihanna is proving she should not be considered your average R&B vixen by revealing a new "THUG LIFE" tattoo spreading across her fingers in honor of the late Tupac Shakur.
Rihanna's tattoo obsession continues. The bad girl added some fresh ink to her body this week. RiRi visited the Shamrock Social Club in Los Angeles, getting "Thug Life" tatted across her knuckles. "All these b*tches screaming that 2pac back ? #THUGLIFE," tweeted the pop star, who already has around 14 tattoos including one with her best friend's birthdate on her shoulder and another on her chest that reads "Never a failure, always a lesson." But that wasn't all. She appeared to be getting another tat on her body from famed tattoo artist Mark Mahoney, while holding a beer bottle. During her trip to the tattoo parlor, she also ran into Grindhouse actor Danny Trejo. (Rap-Up)RiRi's "THUG LIFE" marks the latest celebrity ink job since former boyfriend Drake recently showed off his Aaliyah-inspired tat.
Drake may have the flimsiest hand in Hip-Hop, yet the rapper keeps a firm grip as he flexes in this new gym shot. The Young Money superstar has been working up a sweat as he prepares to take his 'Club Paradise' tour on the road, sharing his progress with fans on picture platform, Instagram. Kudos on the svelte physique, but those tattoo's (Aaliyah one included). No. (That Grape Juice)Keeping in line with celebrity adoration, D12's Bizarre showed off his Nicki Minaj tattoo last month.
"Right now I'm with my man Brooklyn Payne. He does all of my tattoos. He did my portraits. Right now, I'm going to show you my new addition. My new tattoo. Check it out. F*ck yeah! Nicki, this is how much I love you. This is your husband, Bizarre." (YouTube)Recently, Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne credited the late Pac for inspiring his own tattoos.
"I have no problem with people going and getting a billion tattoos," Weezy said in a video. "But why are you doing it? I know my first tattoo I got, I got because my dad died. I was 14 years old and I knew, not for nothing, God forgive me, I did want to represent my dad in a way but I knew that, 'Man, I could get my first tattoo at 14 if I asked my mom, 'Can I go get my dad's name?' She's not gonna be against that.' ... The next tattoo that I got said 'Original Hot Boy' with a star...Then I went and got my tat across my stomach 'cause I wanted to be like Tupac. I got my [stomach] tattoo because I wanted to be like Tupac and at the time, I would tell the tattoo dude that's why I was getting it." (Derick G)
